by Leena Batchelor - Thursday, 21 July 2016, 3:00 PM

Dear Families,

Attached, please find information on an all school House Summer Challenge we are asking all students (and our staff!) to complete over the Summer Holidays.

Your child should complete the challenge for their appropriate House and document it with a picture which we are asking them to bring into school when we return in September.

Please encourage your child to complete the Challenge and have fun in the process!

We wish all of you a very happy and safe Summer Holiday and look forward to welcoming everyone back in September.

Warm Regards,

Mrs C Shipp – Beacon House Leader

Miss S Harris – Pinnacle House Leader

Mrs C Jacobs – Evendine House Leader

Mrs S Morris – Jubilee House Leader

Drop Down Day July 2016
by N. Cheshire - Tuesday, 19 July 2016, 12:14 PM

The Chase's first whole school drop down day was a phenomenal success.

Year 7 Bhangra and Bollywood danced; cooked Samosa's; re-enacted a traditional Hindu wedding; Dohl drummed and adorned themselves with Henna.

Whilst Year 8 partook in a variety of STEM activities offered by local companies. They also designed, made and fired water rockets from Ellerslie field.

Year 9 were fully engaged in a round robin of complexed and challenging activities including a wrecking ball; inflatable assault course; climbing wall; clay pigeon shooting and virtual sky diving, skiing etc.

Year 10 on the otherhand met published authors and put to work their creative writing skills to portray the experience of a refugee - work that will be published over the coming weeks.
It was a great day had by both students and staff and a great way to end a hectic week, term and year! To get a feel for the day have a look at the slideshow below.
