Ski Trip 2017
by N. Cheshire - Tuesday, 20 September 2016, 11:21 AM

For all students currently in Year 10 to Year 13

Last year, we had another very successful and enjoyable ski trip to Andorra with a wonderful group of students from years 10 to 13.

Next February, the Year 10 to 13 ski trip will be going to Folgaria in the Brenta Dolomites in Italy from 17th to 24th February. We have taken the ski trip to Italy several times and really enjoyed it. The ski trip includes the cost of travel, insurance, hire of boots, skis and helmet, lift pass, 4 hours a day of instruction, hot lunch on the mountain, accommodation and full board.

We have managed to negotiate an excellent price of £880!

We have a limited number of places still available for the trip, so if you are interested, please collect a letter from Mr Hood or Mr Barsby or speak to them for more information.

Parent Governor Elections
by Leena Batchelor ( (Staff)) - Friday, 16 September 2016, 11:50 AM

Dear Parent/Carer,

We have recently adopted a new Mission Statement, outlining our Moral Imperative which gives a clear commitment to making a significant contribution to ensuring all our students have a happy and successful life.  An incredible opportunity has now arisen for our parents to join us in the drive to seeing this commitment being fulfilled.

We now have two vacancies for Parent Governors to join the school, and full details of how to apply are attached to this post. Applications should reach Ms Leena Batchelor, Clerk to the Governors, c/o the school no later than Thursday 29th September.

Please do think seriously about volunteering for what is a very valuable and worthwhile role in the life of the school.  The governing body depends on willing parents to join it and help it fulfil its role of providing strategic direction for, and acting as a critical friend to, the school.

Yours sincerely

Richard A Jacobs
